City must authorize video gambling
Chicago Tribune
July 15, 2010
Letter to the Editor; Jeffrey Krozel

If Chicago doesn't opt-in to the state-managed video gambling system, the capital program will need to be cut by more than $2 billion. Chicago desperately needs this capital funding and we can't wait any longer for jobs and investment. It may be too late fix the interest rate issue, but it's not too late for Chicago to help create jobs and improve our roads and bridges.

It's been too long since our last capital bill and missing opportunities this time around is simply unacceptable.
